Titanic Belfast and the Council of Irish Fashion Designers (CIFD) are partnering to celebrate fashion, creativity and craftsmanship with a special afternoon tea event on Sunday 20th September.
Hosted by renowned fashion commentator and CIFD Chairperson Eddie Shanahan, Meet The Designers: Fashion Tea will bring together some of Ireland’s most exciting design talent for an afternoon of fashion, conversation and style in Titanic Belfast’s elegant Titanic Suite.
The event will feature an exclusive panel discussion with Amy Anderson of Kindred of Ireland, Sara O'Neill of Éadach, Sarah Murphy of Jack Murphy and Monica Walsh of Cobblers Lane, giving guests the opportunity to hear directly from the designers about their creative journeys, inspirations and approach to craftsmanship.
Guests will be welcomed with a complimentary glass of Prosecco or Elderflower Fizz before enjoying live music and Titanic Belfast’s renowned Afternoon Tea, featuring freshly prepared savouries, handcrafted sweet treats and freshly baked scones.
Fashion will take centre stage throughout the afternoon with a showcase of looks from each of the featured designers. Guests will also have the opportunity to put their questions to the panel and join the conversation. There will also be a special showcase of Niao Knitwear, one of the newest members of CIFD from Northern Ireland, as well as complimentary archive editions of Anthology magazine.
Attendees will also be able to browse luxury handbags, knitwear, leather goods and millinery from designers across the island of Ireland, including August Night, Leonora Ferguson, Landa, Ted 1942 and Wendy Louise Designs. With pieces available to purchase, guests can take home a truly special piece of Irish design.

Meet The Designers: Fashion Tea is part of a wider programme of events accompanying Titanic Belfast Curates: Northern Threads. This free exhibition celebrates Northern Ireland's fashion industry, giving guests the opportunity to hear directly from the local designers featured in the exhibition: Gráinne Maher, Hope Macaulay, Kindred of Ireland by Amy Anderson and Éadach by Sara O’Neill.
Northern Threads runs until 30th September in the visitor attraction’s Andrew’s Gallery, where guests can discover the stories, designers and craftsmanship that have shaped our local fashion heritage.
