Presented within the historic surroundings of Titanic’s original tender ship, this special display explores the elegance of Edwardian first class style through a series of recreated garments inspired by the fashions worn aboard RMS Titanic in 1912.
Created by designer and Titanic Society member Jill Edgar, the display features tailored boarding suits, promenade dresses, afternoon attire and luxurious evening gowns - reflecting the changing silhouettes and refined craftsmanship of the Edwardian period.
Alongside the garments, visitors can explore the stories of two remarkable first class women connected to Titanic: pioneering fashion designer Lucile (Lady Duff Gordon) and wealthy American passenger, Mrs Charlotte Cardeza, whose extraordinary insurance claim revealed the immerse value attached for fashion and luxury travel during the era.
On selected dates throughout the summer, visitors can also enjoy a special live experience onboard SS Nomadic, featuring:
- Discussions with designer and Titanic Society member Jill Edgar
- Traditional Edwardian hat try-ons and photo opportunities
- Costumed promenade performances inspired by Titanic-era fashion
