The 5,004-ton passenger ship Britannic was launched today for the Oceanic Steam Navigation Co. Ltd. (White Star Line).
Many innovative features were incorporated into the design of Britannic. The most outstanding of these was her adjustable screw propeller shaft. The vessel was laid down as Hellenic, but during construction the decision was made to change the name to Britannic.
