Titanic Belfast is introducing a new School Transport Bursary to support schools visiting the attraction in the 2023/24 academic year.
This pilot scheme will be funded through our new Community Impact Fund, formed as part of our Sustainable Charter.
We recognise that the rising cost of transport is a barrier for many schools who want to bring their pupils to Titanic Belfast for an educational experience and we would like to help.
The new bursary will support 15 schools by covering the costs of their transport to and from Titanic Belfast for their school trip.
To be eligible for the bursary, schools must meet the following criteria:
- Have visited Titanic Belfast in the past
- School is located within a 15-mile radius of Titanic Belfast
- Pupils are studying Titanic as a topic in school
- >50% of students at the school are in receipt of Free School Meals (FSM)
- >50% of pupils living in the most deprived areas
- Be available to bring their class between October 2023 and March 2024.
To apply for the bursary, please submit an application form below:
Closing date for applications is 30th September 2023.
Subject to demand, applicants who meet the criteria will be entered into a lottery system and those selected will be awarded the busary.
